TFD Responds to Structure Fire on Fort Braden Lane

On May 25, at 4:09 p.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) was dispatched to a residential structure fire located on Fort Braden Lane. The first TFD unit to arrive on scene reported smoke showing from home. TFD crews quickly entered the home and extinguished the fire. A search of the residence revealed no one was home at the time of the incident. The fire appears to have started in the kitchen area but is believed to be electrical in nature. The quick actions of TFD prevented the loss of the home. There were no reported injuries on scene.
TFD was assisted on scene by the Lake Talquin Volunteer Fire Department, Leon County EMS and the Leon County Sheriff’s Office. The Red Cross was contacted to assist the resident.
